UCSD has launched a Digg-like site to connect with their alumni. Alumni can submit their ideas and have their fellow alumni vote on them. The top ideas will be considered for implementation by the UCSD alumni association. Alumni can log-in by creating a new account, OpenID, Google, Facebook, Myspace or Yahoo. The goal of the site is to work towards building a tighter alumni network. As of now, UCSD is the FIRST university to use this type of community platform to connect with their alumni.
